The short version. Bellow has no accounts and no servers that hold your scripts. It does not use your microphone and does not record you. Your scripts and settings stay on your device. We do not run analytics, ads or trackers. A few things do touch the internet, and they are listed below so you can see exactly what.

Who we are

Bellow: Ear Prompter is made by Blackwater Outdoor Journeys LC, St. George, Georgia, United States. You can reach us at help@getbellow.com.

What Bellow does

Bellow is an ear prompter. You paste or type a script, and the app speaks it into your earbuds a couple of words ahead of you, using your device's built in text to speech voices. That is its whole function.

What stays on your device

Your scripts, your saved pronunciation choices, your voice and speed settings, and your trial and unlock status are stored on your own device, using the app's normal local storage (or your browser's local storage for the browser version). We cannot see them. They are removed when you delete the app or clear your browser's site data.

What we do not collect

No account, name, email address or phone number is needed to use Bellow.
No microphone access. Bellow does not listen to you and never records audio or video.
No camera, contacts, photos, location or device identifiers.
No analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking software, and no cookies on this website.
We do not use your scripts to train any AI, and we never receive them.

What does touch the internet

Fonts. The app and this website load their two typefaces (Chakra Petch and Inter) from Google Fonts when you are online. Like any font request, this lets Google see your IP address and device details under Google's privacy policy. It contains none of your scripts.
Buying on iPhone or Android. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. The app asks the store whether you own the unlock, so that it can stay unlocked and so Restore Purchase works.
Buying in the browser. Payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and your email for the receipt, and shows us that the payment succeeded and the email you gave it. We never see your card number. The browser version then keeps a checkout ID on your device and checks it with our server when you open Bellow, to confirm your purchase is real. That check sends the checkout ID to our server (hosted on Cloudflare), which, like any web server, receives your IP address in its standard logs. We use it only to confirm the purchase and keep the service working.
This website. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visits as any web host does. We do not add analytics or cookies.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. The only outside parties involved are the ones named above: Apple or Google for purchases in the apps, Stripe for browser purchases, Google Fonts for typefaces, and Cloudflare for hosting.

How long we keep things

Scripts and settings stay on your device until you delete them. We keep the records of browser purchases that Stripe shows us for as long as the law and our accounting require. Server logs are kept only as long as Cloudflare's standard retention.

Your choices and deleting your data

To delete your scripts and settings, delete the app, or clear this site's data in your browser.
To ask about a browser purchase record, or to ask us to delete what we hold about it, email help@getbellow.com from the address you paid with.
For apps bought through Apple or Google, your purchase data is with them. See their privacy settings and policies.

Children

Bellow is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If Bellow ever starts collecting or sending data it does not today, we will update this page first and change the date above.
